VISCOSPORT – WINNER OF HEARTS AT THE HANSBERGLAND CROSS On 30 May 2024, it was that time again: The 7 th Hansbergland Cross Triathlon took place in St. Veit im Mühlkreis. Also keeping pace with the top: our colleagues from Starlinger viscotec! Three teams and one solo athlete from viscotec battled their way through 250 metres of swimming, 12 km of mountain biking and 6 km of mountain running. In the individual classification, Johannes Kobler did wonderfully well to come fifth in his age group. In the relay competition, Lukas Wögerbauer, Daniel Klug and Michael Gastinger took fifth place in both the company and men’s competitions, while Benjamin Wurm, Manuel Wohlschlager and Michael Neudorfer took eighth place in the men’s competition. The third team, consisting of Florian Lindbichler, Severin Kneidinger and Juliane Kepplinger, also took fifth place in the mixed category. What’s more, viscotec took third place in the group ranking (club/company with the most participants), which they then celebrated in style. STARLINGER/uniROTA BUS IN SCHWERIN Since 7 June 2024, a local bus has been out on the road in Schwerin, Germany, with an advertising motif from Starlinger recycling technology in red and white on one side and an orange advertisement from uniROTA Maplan Schwerin Gmbh on the other. We are aiming to raise the profile of our two companies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, and awaken the interest of potential employees. Our recoSTAR PET plastics recycling systems and the recoSTAR dynamic 215 are built at Starlinger Factory 3 in Schwerin; uniROTA (a subsidiary of unistrap GmbH) manufactures extruder screws, rollers, cylinders, shafts and various milled parts for Starlinger and other customers.

“WE ARE – FIRE AND WATER” ART INSTALLATION IN THE BERNDORF WATER TOWER As part of the Industrial Quarter Festival 24, the light installation “We are - fire and water” by Viennese artist Thomas Hoke was set up in the Berndorf water tower, which is located on the Starlinger plot between Berndorf and Pottenstein. The “Illumination” took place on 17 May 2024 with the artist, the mayors of Berndorf and Pottenstein and the supporting sponsors – including Angelika and Leander Huemer and Gabriel Graf for Starlinger – in attendance. As dusk fell, the water tower was transformed into a lighthouse; over time, the glowing fire changed to cool water. The inside of the tower was brought to life from all angles in various phases using digital controls. The tower glowed in a slow pulsating manner, creating the impression of alternating blazing fire and flowing water. The light installation addressed the regional effects of global climate change, whose harbingers, the elements of water and fire, trigger our primal fears. Until 14 July, visitors could marvel at the interplay of colours in the water tower next to the Triesting River at dusk.
